a full month

i wish i had something to say- this poor ole blog is becoming a bit of a ghost town these days! life has been good- very crazy, very busy, but good.
all the same mundane wonderful things- took pumpkin to the pumpkin patch. she loved it. i am blown away daily by how quickly she is growing and developing. she has a new word practically every day.
every morning she wakes up with a happy 'hi' to me as i go into her room. when she is tired and wound up she now hits- not to hurt (which it rally never does) but to see our reaction. so she gets time outs on the 'naughty step'. and the faces she makes while on there either make me want to bust out laughing or crying. she starts with a cute pretend pout then breaks into a grin that could melt the coldest blackest heart. when that fails to make me stop explaining why hitting is not nice- she pouts for real & looks away. i make her look at me and that's when i get... the lip quiver. oh. my. god. this girl knows how to work it at a year and a half. but if i soldier through and ask her if she is sorry- she actually nods & says 'soh-ey' and gives me a giant hug. she is such a smart little cookie!
that's pretty much it. the hubs and i have different discipline styles. which we talk about often. the one thing we agree on is not to correct or question the other in front of her to prevent mixed messages. but as she gets older and more independent and curious and boundary pushing- we are probably going to have these discussions more & more frequently.

a few cute shots from the weekend to make up for a full month of silence!

I know, there's not a lot of interesting things to blog about for me either. But still I do it. The pics are so cute!
