why did i ever wish to be busier at work? i am here from 8:30 to 6:30 consistently & i feel like there is still a shitload to be done! i wouldn't go back though- i prefer busy crazy to bored crazy any day of the week!
i am now training our 'new' employees tomorrow. most have already been here for over 90 days, but since we are really a small firm that suddenly got bigger- we don't really have a training program in place. so i opened my big fat mouth & offered to share my expertise & knowledge of standards- especially since i am now on the team to create & document them- with all the newbies. i haven't worked with all of them yet, but judging by the ones i have- it's way overdue. hopefully i can document this well enough that when reviews finally come by (end of june into august my ass!) i can point it out as another reason i really really deserve that raise!
oh- and we might be getting a roommate for a few months. a friend of tom's was all set to move to florida & boom- no more new job for him anymore. he has already gotten rid of his apartment & is living with his mom- being driven crazy i assume. for $500 a month he can live in our guest room no problem. our house is pretty big & we haven't even opened the guest room door in months. plus its 3/4 of my mortgage & we can use the money to finally finish up the kitchen. i just hope it doesn't put a damper on the whole ttc aspect of our lives. maybe it will be more exciting- like sneaking around in high school all over again!
