25 firsts

taken from nancy

"25 Firsts"

1. Who was your first prom date?
the hub. only ever went to one prom & he was my date. we have been together for 14 years. go figure!

2. Do you still talk to your first love?
every day.

3. What was your first alcoholic drink?
probably champagne at new years or something like that at a family function- just a taste. first time i got drunk though- drinking crappy beer (schlitt's or mgd) & then did 3 double shots of soco in 15 minutes right before i left. the hub was not impressed that night. i was probably all of 18 too...

4. What was your first job?
cashier at the salad bar in the mall food court.

5. What was your first car?
saturn sl2. i was pissed because i could have gotten a free ghetto sled, but my parents insisted on something with seat belts & an airbag after i totalled their van (not my fault!). this is what they picked out & it was standard- which i couldn't drive & thought i would never be able to & would hate it. now i don't buy anything automatic!

6. Who was the first person to text you today?
my neighbor asking about a free concert in the park this week

7. Who was the first person you thought of this morning?
pumpkin- she woke up at 4:30am, but went to sleep at 8:45 last night, so 8 hours was pretty good for me.

8. Who was your first grade teacher?
miss rice. i think... bad early childhood memory (not that i had bad experiences- i just have no memories of early childhood.

9. Where did you go on your first flight in a plane?
san francisco as an infant

10. Who was your first best friend and do you still talk?
lorraine g. we are facebo.ok friends, but not really. we started to grow apart in high school, which makes me sad now.

11. Where was your first sleepover?
probably lorraine's

12. Who was the first person you talked to today?
the hub- he rolled over at 4:30 to tell me pumpkin was crying- i was so zonked i didn't even hear her! then at 8 am when she got up for real we both talked to her & each other.

13. Whose wedding were you in for the first time?
my cousin's- come to think of it- that's the only wedding i've been in other than my own. my sister had a courthouse wedding & my best friend isn't married yet.

14. What was the first thing you did this morning?
fed caiden

15. What was the first concert you went to?
bush with no doubt

16. First tattoo?
heh- 'tramp stamp' lower back celtic knot in a sun on my 18th birthday...

17. First piercing?
after 10 holes in my ears (mostly done myself, such a badass, right?!) got the bellybutton, then tongue. still have bellybutton- but the tongue only lasted a few months.

18. First foreign country you went to?
ireland at 19

19. First movie you remember seeing?
don't remember any (see #8), but i know it was cinderella.

20. What state did you first live in?
ny

21. Who was your first room mate?
ursula. she had a bad coke habit & a massive crush on me. both of which i didn't know until after i moved out & she slashed the hub's tires. i was oddly naive as a teen/young adult.

22. When was your first detention?
i think it was 3rd grade for writing on a bully's jacket. he totally deserved, but i really don't think i had another one after that. i was a pretty good kid & when i did do bad things, i didn't get caught at school.

24. What is one thing you would learn, given the chance?
to play guitar. the hub was in band's & could teach me, if we had the time & some 3rd party conflict resolution! (i am not the best at taking his directions, not sure it's all my fault either!)

25. Who will be the next person to post this?
no idea! but like nancy said- let me know if you do!

Yeah - go food court worker! Did you have to wear a funny outfit?

What is a ghetto sled?

So - your hubby hears caiden cry and woke YOU up. Do you guys take turns? Or does he just want you to do it? I'm assuming since you are breastfeeding you get up, but I got it to where we would take turns for full nights (ie: monday was my night, tuesday was his, etc) and if he could get her back to sleep without the boobie, he would. Even if I needed to nurse, he would get up and do the diaper change and THEN get me.

bush and no doubt. Is that the tour gwen and gavin met and fell in love?

BADASS! You pierced yourself! I never was able to do that. EVER. Wait, i think I did once, but I think half way through I made my hubby do it.

I want to hear WAY MORE about this "ursula" chick. Sounds juicy.

Thanks for answering the questions - I learned more about you!

Hey, I want to officially invite you and Caiden (and tom too!) to come visit us. While you aren't working, I think it would be fun. Let's figure out a way to raise the money for a plane ticket, okay? You wouldn't need anything else except that, as we have a guest room. It's the nursery, so caiden can have karl's crib and that's where the extra bed is. I'll have karl sleep in the girls' room or my room in the pack n play. I'm totally serious. I've seen plane tickets for under $250. Do you think it's somewhat possible?

nancy- wow- so many more questions to answer! ;o)

-no- just a polo shirt & black pants

-a ghetto sled is a pos junky car. this one in particular you had to lift & pull on the door to get it closed & the passenger door didn't work at all. it didn't lock, but it was free. and i wonder why my parents didn't want me to take it!

-the hub knew it was time for boob. if it's before 2-3 am he will go in & try to settle her down. if she sees/smells me then only the boob will do! but since it had been 8 hours we both knew it was time. we also don't change her in the middle of the night anymore- she's good till morning most every night. if i change her she wakes up & is very unhappy with us!

-yes, it was!

-there was some major juice with that one- i am pretty sure she had a lot of mental & emotional issues. she also tried to frame the hub for a break-in at the house we had lived at...

i will definitely have to chat with the hub about this!!! i would ~love~ it. it kind of sucks that when you don't have to worry about taking time off work to travel- you have the oh yeah- no job=no money problem! but i will have to look into it to see if we can because i would really love to!
