according to all my ultrasounds i hit 40 weeks tomorrow. for all my worries about this kiddo being early it now looks like he has no intention of actually coming on his own. despite 4-5 nights of solid contractions that get to within the 7 minute mark- then they just stop... very frustrating! i have no plug left judging by last thursday & friday (ew!!) and tonight i am a solid 3 cm. my ob stripped my membranes & let me know they don't want me to go past next friday. at which i cried just a little... this kid is so low i swear he's between my knees by now. i am crampy & tired & extremely cranky. the 'heat index' has it at +100 degrees today and i am still working until the day i go to the hospital. which is actually the hard & easy part- hard because i actually was able to wrap everything up and now am just finding things to fill my days. easy because at least i am not sitting at home just waiting for nothing to happen.
i can't wait to meet this little man, i can wait to have the sleepless nights & bleary eyed days. i hope pumpkin adjusts well to 2.0- she is changing and growing so fast. i wonder how much she is really understanding and processing about being a big sister very soon. i hope they end up as close as my sister & i (or the hub & his brother) are.
the waiting is hard- but i really can't complain (too much) since this pregnancy has been very easy. hell- i still have my ankles!!!

Oh my gosh! I can't believe that you are at 40 weeks already! I really hope that your little guy doesn't keep you waiting too long.
I am sure that you've already googled them, but despite being a super-skeptic we tried practically all of the "natural" induction techniques suggested by Dr. Google (after checking with the midwife about a couple of them). I would definitely recommend starting with foot massages first ;-)
